Entrepreneurship Promotion as an Approach for the Inclusion of Youth and Vulnerable Groups in the Labour Market
The Peer Review, held in Sofia on the 10th – 11th April 2008, was hosted by the Bulgarian Ministry of Labour and Social Policy (MLSP) and focused on the Job Opportunities through Business Support (JOBS) Project, which promotes entrepreneurship as an approach for the integration of people at the margins of the labour market. In addition to the host country, ten peer countries participated in the Peer Review: Belgium, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Spain. In addition to receiving presentations from government officials on the development of the project against a background of the labour market and policy context and an assessment by a Bulgarian independent expert, participants visited a business centre set up under the project in the town of Samokov where there was an opportunity to hear first hand about the implementation and effects of the project from a range of different contributors.
